Werder Bremens next test match is a clash with an 'Old Aquaintance' on Saturday, 30.07.2005 when they play FC Hansa Rostock. Rostock slipped into the second division last season after ten years in the top flight. The game takes place at the Ostsee Stadium in Rostock at 3:30pm and will be transmitted live on German T.V. by DSF.
The host side have more than just big plans against Werder Bremen, they are also determined to leave the, to them, now unknown terrain of the second division as quickly as possible with the intention being a direct promotion. During their pre-season preparations, captain Mathias Schobers side have begun well. Following a 3:1 win over a third division side who are aiming for promotion this season in VfB Lubeck, the North German side drew 1:1 with Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg. Hansa have lost only one of their seven friendlies so far, that being against ZSKA Sofia (1:2).
Tickets for the game are still available from the ticket hotline under the number 0381/3770-120 or at the stadium in Rostock from 10am on Saturday morning on Kopernikusstraße. Ticket prices range between 8 and 29 euros.
