Clemens Fritz spent the final quarter hour of the first half of Sunday’s 3-0 victory over St. Pauli limping around. "It was my own fault. I somewhat stupidly ran into Gerald Asamoah," said the right back, who played defensive midfielder against Pauli.

Torsten Frings for his part took a break on Monday after a harsh foul by Pauli’s Markus Thorandt. "The foot isn’t really that swollen," said Frings. "It just a little scratched," added the captain, who hopes to return to team training on Wednesday.

Actually no players are expected on the training grounds until then as head coach Thomas Schaaf and his coaching staff gave his troops the day off Tuesday 30 November 2010. "That will certainly do some good after a number of midweek games," said Frings.
