Tottenham Hotspur lead the Champions League Group A table and are on their way up the Premier League. And the press conference ahead of the Champions League home match against Werder Bremen on Wednesday 24 November 2010 was a demonstration of the English side’s confidence. "We are in great spirits and want to continue the momentum," said Jermaine Jenas. "We have won three straight games in the Champions League at home and we hope that that continues on Wednesday," added the midfielder.
A victory on Wednesday would secure the English club a spot in the Round of 16. "That’s why it’s very important for us to win," said Jenas. Tottenham coach Harry Redknapp also would like to wrap up a berth in the knockout stage. "We need and want this victory. It is a very tight group and mathematically every team still has the chance to advance to the next round," said Redknapp. Despite all the praise of their team and the current struggles by Werder Bremen, both Redknapp and Jenas were full of respect of the Green-Whites. "I have followed the recent results for Werder in the Bundesliga. But it will still be a very difficult match," said Jenas.
