The German national team ended their 2010 international calendar year with a 0-0 draw in Gothenburg. Joachim Löw’s team was clearly the stronger side over the 90 minutes at Ullevi Stadium. Werder midfielder Marko Marin started the match before being subbed out for Cacau in the 59th minute. Shortly before that, Marin set up one of Germany’s top goal chances through Lewis Holtby. Marin’s teammate Per Mertesacker was rested and watched the entire match from the bench.
