Recently, Werder players have left training and headed to the athletics hall of Weser Stadium. Their dressing room was re-located there during stadium renovations. On Tuesday, head coach Thomas Schaaf’s team used their new dressing room for the first time after re-locating back on Monday.
"Of course we are happy to have returned to our new dressing room. It is really nice and it is important that we feel good," said captain Torsten Frings. "It’s very nice, offers more comfort and is bigger," said Tim Wiese.
After Tuesday’s training, Clemens Fritz arrived a little early in the Werder players’ new "home". While the others were still having a training game, the full back completed a strength test for his muscular problems – and he passed. "Now I have to see how my body reacts. But I am very optimistic," said the defender, who after another check by Dr. Götz Dimanski Wednesday morning could return to team training. Maybe then Fritz could leave the training pitch at the same time as his teammates on Wednesday.
