The number of Werder players in training is increasing again. Clemens Fritz, Tim Borowski and Philipp Bargfrede all were back on the training grounds Thursday morning for practice. Even Claudio Pizarro completed an individual training session – albeit apart from his teammates.
The Peruvian was only able to take part in running training and coordination drills with physiotherapist Sven Plagge. "I want to take things cautiously. Maybe I can train with the team again on Wednesday or Thursday," said the striker. Tim Borowski and Clemens Fritz have already taken this step. "The medical department really did some good work," said the defender Fritz, adding with a smirk: "They put me back together again." Borowski was also satisfied with his comeback to the training grounds. "Thumbs up," said the midfielder, who like Fritz completed the training session without any problems. Philipp Bargfrede overcame his cold and also was able to come back to team training Thursday morning. Also back were Mikael Silvestre and Aaron Hunt, who a day earlier were in Freren for Werder’s project “100 Schools – 100 clubs”.
Petri Pasanen meanwhile is the final Werder international who will be leaving for national team duty. While the other international Green-Whites will play for their teams on Friday for Euro 2012 qualifiers and other national team matches, Werder’s defender Pasanen will not play with Finland until Tuesday 12 October 2010 against Hungary.
