On Friday afternoon Werder Bremen and FC Bayern Munich agreed terms for the transfare of Torsten Frings. The 28 year old German international recieved a three year deal whic should keep him in Bremen until 30.06.2008.

On Friday afternoon Werder Bremen and FC Bayern Munich agreed terms for the transfare of Torsten Frings. The 28 year old German international recieved a three year deal whic should keep him in Bremen until 30.06.2008.
At the same time Bremen and Bayern closed the deal on the future of Valerien Ismael. The 29 year old Frenchman will move south on a three year contract which expires on 30.06.2008.
Both clubs have taken the decision not to release the details of either transfare.
Torsten Frings played for Werder Bremen between 1996 and 2002 partaking in 162 Bundesliga games and scoring 15 goals. In 1999 Frings was part of the side which won the DFB cup for the Green-Whites. Frings then moved to Borussia Dortmund where he played for two years before taking up the offer from Bayern Munich where he became a double winner last season. In total the midfielder who was a member of the German squad which was pipped at the post by Brazil in 2002 has played a total of 238 Bundesliga with 28 goals on his account. On the international front he has appeared 39 times in the national shirt scoring on five occasions.
Valerien Ismael came to Werder from Racing Straßburg before the 2003/2004 season. In his first season on the Weser the Frenchman celebreated the German championship and the DFB cup. The 29 year old appeared 64 times in a Werder shirt and scored eight goals in the Bundesliga. In the Champions League Ismael played seven games and has one goal to his credit.
