German national team coach Joachim Löw has nominated Werder Bremen players Tim Wiese, Per Mertesacker and Marko Marin for the Euro2012 qualifiers on Friday 8 October 2010 against Turkey and on Tuesday 12 October 2010 in Kazakhstan. The game against Guus Hiddink’s Turkish team will kick off at 8:45 p.m. at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium. And four days later, the German national team will play in the Kazakh capital Astana at 11 p.m. local time (7 p.m. CET).

 

These 22 players were nominated:

 

Goalkeepers: Tim Wiese (Werder Bremen), Manuel Neuer (Schalke), Rene Adler (Bayer Leverkusen)

 

Defenders: Per Mertesacker (Werder Bremen), Holger Badstuber (Bayern Munich), Jerome Boateng (Manchester City), Marcell Jansen (Hamburg), Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich), Sascha Riether (Wolfsburg), Heiko Westermann (Hamburg)

 

Midfielders: Marko Marin (Werder Bremen), Kevin Großkreutz (Borussia Dortmund), Sami Khedira (Real Madrid), Toni Kroos (Bayern Munich), Thomas Müller (Bayern Munich), Mesut Özil (Real Madrid), Lukas Podolski (Cologne), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich), Christian Träsch (Stuttgart)
