The Werder Bremen fever continues to spread throughout the world as the Green-Whites have recently passed the 500 fan club mark. Last week there was an official registration of the "Werder Fan Club Beijing".
"The increase in the past years is remarkable. Just days after our 500th fan club we already have 510. That shows how overdue it was to professionally support these fans," said Werder manager Klaus Allofs. Since the summer Werder Bremen have added new challenges in the fan and membership department which was founded by fan advisor Dieter Zeiffer and is headed by Julia Ebert.
The increase is especially remarkable internationally. Werder Bremen are now represented in China with an official fan club in the capital. A foundation form for the Werder Fan Club Beijing arrived at Werder’s fan and membership department in early September. It is actually the second official opportunity for Green-White fans in China to support Werder as the "Dragons Hong Kong" has been cheering on Bremen for years now.
But Asia is not the only place outside of Germany with official Werder fan clubs. There are also Green-White fan groups in Kenya, Belgium, Spain, Belarus and Italy.
