Following some lenghty negotiations, last Friday Leon Andreasen put pen to paper and made his impending transfare to Werder Bremen complete. The young Danes contract will keep him at the Weser for the next four years.

Our own Michael Rudolph spoke to the new signing to find the reasons behind his move to Werder and found out just how much he knows about the Green-Whites.
What were the reasons for your move to Werder?
Werder first showed interest in me over a year ago and after some long negotiations we found the medium for a transfare. I feel ready for a move abroad and I believe Werder is the right club for me - it's a big step in my as yet short career.
When did you first hear about Werder?
I've followed the Bundesliga basically since I became a professional footballer in Aarhus. Before that I just played for a small club and dreamed of becoming a professional.
Do you know any Werder players, for example your fellow countryman Daniel Jensen?
Their names yes, Johan Micoud, Miroslav Klose, Nelson Valdez and of course the captain Frank Baumann because I have seen many Werder games. I have trained with Daniel Jensen once with the international team when I was called into the first team for the first time for the World Cup qualifier against Georgia.
Did Werders Danish speaking players and the proximity to home play a roll in making your decision to move to Werder?
No, Werder is the best club for me, when I heard they wanted to sign me there were no doubts. Of course it will be helpful at the beginning to have Danish guys around me. Aside from daniel Jensen there is also the reserve team keeper Kasper Jensen. I do believe that I can integrate myself quickly into the side because I am a naturally open and accessible person.
Werder are battling at the moment for a UEFA cup qualifying place, how do you think your future club will finish the season?
I reckon Werder will get ten points from the last four games which could be enough to make the Champions League - some would say that's optimistic, I feel it's realistic. At the very least I will keep my fingers crossed.
