Werder Bremen midfielder Daniel Jensen and the Denmark national team beat Cameroon 2-1 (1-1) to keep alive their chances of reaching the World Cup Round of 16. The 30-year-old was subbed in at halftime and his strong, fighting effort helped his nation grab three points.

Nicklas Bendtner (33rd) and Dennis Rommedahl (61st) scored to reverse a 1-0 deficit in Denmark’s 2-1 victory, giving the Scandinavians control of their own destiny in Group E. The spectators at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Tshwane/Pretoria saw an attractive match with a lot of top-notch goal chances, including the Africans’ lead goal through Samuel Eto’o (10th). The defeat means Cameroon are eliminated from reaching the knockout stages.
