The Danish national team lost their final warm-up match before the World Cup, falling to hosts South Africa 1-0 (0-0). Werder player Daniel Jensen was subbed in at half-time of the game but just like his team-mates could not stop Katlego Mphela from scoring the game's only goal in the 76th minute.
While Jensen has played his final test match, Werder team-mate Hugo Almeida and Portugal will have their final warm-up on Tuesday, 8 June 2010 against Mozambique. Kickoff for the match is 4:30 p.m. at Bidvest Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
In addition, the referees for the first group matches of the World Cup have been announced. Stephane Lannoy of France will referee Denmark's opener against Netherlands in Johannesburg on Monday, 14 June 2010. And Jorge Larrionda of Uruguay will call Portugal's first contest against Ivory Coast on 15 June 2010 in Port Elizabeth.
