Sandro Wagner scored four goals in 45 minutes in his first appearance for Werder's Bundesliga team. Even if it was "only" a test match, Wagner was very satisfied with his showing on Wednesday against SG Telgte. "These types of games are fun, when you really give your all," said Wagner of the match against the Northrhine-Westpfalia team which was relegated from the Landesliga league. The Green-Whites' next match will come against VfL Oldenburg from the Oberliga Niedersachen-West league. "It's all the better as a striker when you can score a few goals," said the anxious Wagner about the Friday evening match.
Sebastian Prödl will be back after playing 90 minutes for Austria in a 1-0 friendly loss against Croatia on Wednesday. Finland's Petri Pasanen has also returned after injuring his calf in the German Cup final against Bayern Munich. Pasanen came back to training at the end of the week.
The game at Marschweg Stadium will start at 6:30 p.m. There are still plenty of tickets left for the game. A recap of the game will be available starting Saturday at WERDER.TV.
