For some it's just a normal Twitter feed, for others it's the world's longest live ticker. Werder Bremen will be offering special online accompaniment for their 10th German Cup final in Berlin on 15 May 2010. In addition to the usual extensive activities of WERDER.DE and WERDER.TV, the Green-Whites have in the works another very special project - the "werderimfinale" Twitter feed!

For the final in Werder's 111th year, the northern Germans will be tweeting for 11 days about the up-coming final game of the season against Bayern Munich. "Our fans are looking forward to these festive football days in Berlin. Some 20,000 of our fans will be in the stadium while many more supporters will be in the capital, even without a ticket. And we are offering them kind of an online guide which they can receive right on their mobile phones. We will be giving the fans exciting information about the team, suggestions for events, TV tips and schedules," said Werder media director Tino Polster. And Polster is certain that this service will be attractive for all other Werder friends and football fans as well.

A separate team of writers will be coming up with 140 character long messages around the clock which can be read on Twitter and WERDER.DE. The whole thing gets started after the final Bundesliga game of the season against Hamburg on Saturday, 8 May 2010 and will end three days after the final on Wednesday, 19 May 2010. The "werderimfinale" Twitter will only be available in German. In addition to the Twitter activities, the WERDER.TV and WERDER.DE teams will also be on location in Berlin, gathering the most important news; transporting the unique final atmosphere and offering Werder fans exclusive pictures and films.
