The season is slowly coming to an end and the excitement in the Bundesliga is heating up. Werder Bremen host Nurnberg on Saturday 27 March 2010 at 3:30 p.m. at Weser Stadium, and Werder coach Thomas Schaaf's message to his team is loud and clear. "We have to have an absolute can-do attitude against every team to reach a high level," said the coach.
The guests from Nurnberg have not lost in five matches and are right in the middle of a relegation fight in need of every single point. But that also goes for Werder, who are nearing third place. So, fans at Weser Stadium can expect a real battle. Thomas Schaaf has clearly seen that Nurnberg have stabilised themselves with the addition of three players Andreas Ottl and Breno (from Bayern Munich) and Mickael Tavares (from Hamburg). That made things all the more sobering for the entire Nurnberg team after Breno suffered a torn ACL during the Leverkusen match. In addition, it remains questionable if top striker Albert Bunjaku will be available to play. Regardless of who plays for Nurnberg or not, Schaaf has told his team to remain concentrated. "This will be another game in which we have to be very active. We cannot let them relax and we have to watch out against their counter attack," said the coach.
