All Green-Whites held their breaths at the final training as goalkeeper Tim Wiese had pain until the end of training. Just one day after his return to the team training, the keeper injured himself again in a collision at team training. "The foot is broken, everything full of blood," joked the keeper about his diagnosis before heading into the catacombs frustrated. Werder’s keeper was hit on his ankle during a corner kick and had to deal with the pain until the end of the session. "Tim suffered a slight bruise and received treatment," said head coach Thomas Schaaf, who assumes his keeper will play against Stuttgart and nominated only two keepers including Wiese for the game roster.

Things look less likely for Petri Pasanen and Philipp Bargfrede. Both players could not take part in Friday’s final training but were included in Bremen’s game roster. "We have some question marks in the roster and decided therefore to name 19 players," said Schaaf.

Bremen definitely will be without the injured Peter Niemeyer (ankle injury) and Clemens Fritz (thigh problem). Young talent Onur Ayik is once again included on the roster.

The following 19 players were nominated by head coach Thomas Schaaf for the game against Stuttgart: Wiese, Vander, Naldo, Pasanen, Borowski, Rosenberg, Marin, Özil, Ayik, Prödl, Abdennour, Husejinovic, Bargfrede, Jensen, Frings, Almeida, Pizarro, Mertesacker, Hunt.
