Werder advisory board chairman Willi Lemke is in Madrid this week to participate at the "Sport for Development" Forum in his function as UN Special Adviser to the Secretary-General on Sport for Development and Peace. The forum on 4-5 March 2010 is part of collaborative initiative between the Real Madrid Foundation and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID).

 

The goal of the event is to reflect on the meaning of sports as a means of establishing and improving children’s rights. Willi Lemke will take the opportunity during his stay in Madrid to hold a speech on the topic of "Strategies for the advancement of development and peace building through sports".
