The 'Green-Whites' preparations for their up-coming Europa League game in Enschede started already early Sunday morning. Those players who did not play Saturday afternoon at all or less than a half time in Hannover completed a short one-hour training while the other players showed for the usual light running drills and recovery at Weser Stadium.
Daniel Jensen, on the other hand, was once again able to kick a ball with his teammates. Also back on the pitch was Sebastian Boenisch. The 23-year-old completed a short running drill "The session went well. I don’t have any pain when I run," said Boenisch who will for now stick to individual training. "It’s tough to say when I can train again with the team. For now I will work out on my own. And some time I can add the ball. And maybe in two weeks I can get back to the others."
There was another bit of good news for Werder fans in the morning following the Hannover match. Daniel Jensen had recovered from his foot problems and returned to team training. The Danish international had only trained individually the last few days, but was able to practice without pain and is now an option for the Bremen roster for Thursday.
Werder’s next training session takes place on Monday, 15 February 2010 at 3 p.m. at the Weser Stadium training grounds.
