Werder Bremen’s final training Friday afternoon passed without any big surprises. Keeper Tim Wiese, who returned to training after recovering from a back injury, was listed on head coach Thomas Schaaf’s 18-man game roster as well as fellow previous injury concern Sebastian Prödl.
Wiese was in good spirits before the departure for Hannover as the German international keeper talked to media members after his injury. He was theatrically holding his back and hip before limping to the changing room with a laugh on his face.
It was a clear signal that Wiese is once again ready to play. All Werder supporters can hope that the Bremen player’s good mood carries over to the Hannover match.
Thomas Schaaf nominated the following 18 players for the Bundesliga match on Saturday: Wiese, Vander, Pasanen, Naldo, Borowski, Fritz, Rosenberg, Marin, Özil, Hunt, Prödl, Abdennour, Husejinovic, Frings, Almeida, Pizarro, Niemeyer, Mertesacker.
