Werder centre back Naldo is nominated for the Samba Gold Trophy 2009. The internet portal sambafoot.com is hosting the election for the second time and honours the best Brazilian playing in Europe. Now Werder fans are called upon to get our No. 4 as many votes as possible to land among the top vote-getters.
Vote here until 30 December 2009. The opposition is big. Last year Naldo's Brazilian national team colleague Kaka won the title. All told, there are 30 Brazilians players active in Europe on the list. And the nomination is a big honour for the 27-year-old Bremen player. "Of course it's nice when you are on this kind of list because there are a lot of very good Brazilian footballers in Europe. It's recognition for my showings with Werder Bremen and I hope that fans will vote for me," said Naldo.
