Hugo Alemedia and Portugal have qualified for the 2010 World Cup thanks to their 1-0 victory in Bosnia. "We realised our dream. I am so happy that I will experience a World Cup in my career," said the Werder striker after the game, in which he did not play.

 

Daniel Jensen and Denmark beat the United States in a test match 3-1 in which he played 52 minutes. Markus Rosenberg however lost with the Swedish national team 1-0 in their friendly against world champions Italy in Cesena. The 27-year-old striker was subbed in for Johan Elmander after 78 minutes.
