First the Bundesliga break then the away game at Freiburg - November has provided a very good chance for construction at Weser Stadium to push forward. And despite moderate weather conditions, things are moving very well. The next goal is quite ambitious as a couple hundred fans should be allowed to watch the home game against Schalke on 12 December 2009 from the upper level of the West grandstands. But manager Manfred Müller is looking even further ahead. "The roof will be mounted by 31 December of this year and by the home game against Bayern Munich we want to have the West grandstands fully occupied. That will be a great atmosphere," said Müller.
The mounting of photovoltaic units along the East facade of Weser Stadium is also moving quickly forward. Work is nearly complete and every visitor can get an impression of how the overall picture should look. "In order to not deny sunlight and a look over the training pitches, glass elements are being built-in in front of the windows of the boarding school and the office rooms," said Müller, who receives daily updates about the construction at Weser Stadium.
