The tragic news of the death of German national team goalkeeper Robert Enke has been met with deepest sadness and consternation at Werder Bremen. The board of management, directors, team, staff and fans today quietly mourn the passing of the irreproachable captain and goalkeeper of Hannover 96. Robert Enke was held in the very highest regard by all connected in any way with Werder Bremen. We extend our very deepest condolences to his family at this extremely difficult time.
