Aaron Hunt was the talk of the town and some experts think he could make the German national team after scoring one goal and setting up another against Bochum to win Man of the Match honours from the Kicker sports manager. Even Werder head coach Thomas Schaaf was confronted on Monday morning by journalists asking about Hunt, and the coach did nothing to stop the euphoria revolving around the young Bremen player.
"If you think about some of the names that are being considered then Aaron surely deserves to get a chance. He is in very good physical condition at the moment. I don't want to say he belongs in the national team, but if he continues to play so consistently then he could be an option," said the good-spirited Werder coach, who added that he has not been in contact with German national team coach Joachim Löw about Hunt. The Bremen boss, after all, realises that Hunt has to maintain his current level over a longer time period. "If he can bring a certain consistency to his performance, that would surely be very good," added Schaaf.
