The dream of the final is over for Hungary and Werder Bremen striker Marko Futacs, who could not help his team get past Ghana in the semi-final of the U20 World Cup in Egypt, losing 3-2 (2-0) on Tuesday, 13 October 2009. Ghana star Dominic Adiyiah scored twice in the first half - his seventh and eighth goals of the tournament - to seal the Europeans' fate. Marko Futacs was subbed into the game after 71 minutes for midfielder Zsolt Korcsmar and cut the Ghana lead to 2-1 just seconds after entering the game. But he could not keep Hungary from losing.

Futacs and Hungary will now face Costa Rica in the Game for Third Place at the U20 World Cup on Friday 16 October 2009 at 5 p.m. The final, which will also be played on Friday, will see Ghana take on Brazil.
