Union Berlin's John Jairo Mosquera is a familiar face for Werder Bremen fans. But can the striker help Union Berlin knock Werder out of the German Cup in the first round? The Green-Whites believe that will not happen. "The danger of course is there. Whoever knows football knows that these kinds of stories can happen," said Werder head coach Thomas Schaaf. "But we expect us to have the quality to not let him have an impact in this game."
Mosquera's best friend from Werder is Sebastian Boenisch, who the Colombian often called Big Brother. And it will be Boenisch who will be responsible for watching Mosquera, and Boenisch joked that he will remind Mosquera that Werder are favoured. "I will call him today or tomorrow and wish him a good game, but also tell them that he will not win this game. There can only be one winner," said Boenisch. But the Werder player is certain that the game will not impact the pair's friendship. "We understood each other really well back then and did quite a bit together. And this game will not change that. But I would not call myself Big Brother. He must have used the wrong words," explained Boenisch.
