"It is more than just a test for me," said Werder captain Torsten Frings ahead of Bremen’s seventh preparation game against Alemannia Aachen on Sunday, 28 July 2009 at 7 p.m. Frings played six years in Alemannia’s black and gold before transferring to Werder in 1997. The German Cup winner returned to his football home for a test match as well as say goodbye to the Aachen’s much-loved Tivoli stadium with some 21,000 fans.
