German Cup winners Werder Bremen have arrived at Norderney for the eighth time in preparations for the 2009-10 season and started their first training of the training camp in the early evening. During the session, Marko Marin hung out on the sidelines and greeted his new team-mates. He had come to Bremen to finish up the final formalities, spent the afternoon in the city and then left for his deserved holiday. "First I will relax a little bit. But then I will start running," said the new acquisition from Borussia Mönchengladbach, who recently won the U21 European Championship along with Mesut Özil and Sebastian Boenisch.
During the tournament, Marin was able to gain some information about his new team and conditions in Bremen. "I don't think it will be difficult for me to integrate quickly. I talked a lot with Mesut and Basti about Werder. And both had a lot of positive things to say. Besides, I also know some of the other players from the German senior national team," said Marin. He confirmed that he expects to join Werder training during the second training camp in Bad Waltersdorf, Austria. Then they will concentrate on working towards their big goals. "We want to win another title and play a bigger role in the league than last year," added Marin.
