Frings, Fritz and Wiese in new jerseys for first time

As part of a spectacular launch event, Werder Bremen and Nike celebrated their new partnership by presenting the new Werder jerseys in front of 200 invited guests. The 2009 German Cup winners and the world's largest sports apparel manufacturer are striving together to continue Werder Bremen's successful tradition as well as take an important step towards the top of European football. The collaboration between Werder Bremen and their new outfitter Nike started on 1 July 2009 and is a long-term agreement.

 

"Both sides want to improve. With Nike, Werder is taking the next step - with this partner we are equipped among the best in the world," said Werder manager Klaus Allofs about the deal with the market leader. "Werder Bremen and Nike - that just fits together. We are so excited about the partnership with one of the most appealing and successful clubs in the Bundesliga," added Michaela Stitz, chief executive of Nike Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

 

The new jerseys are made of Nike's Dri-FIT material which guarantees the highest comfort to the team's players. Both jerseys will be available starting 3 July 2009 in the Werder fan shop and local partner shops for the retail price of 69.95 euros (adult, short sleeve) and 54.95 euros (child, short sleeve).
