Two clubs from Bremerhaven received a very special okay Friday afternoon from Werder Bremen as OSC Bremerhaven and LTS Bremerhaven agreed to help the Bundesliga club scout for talent in the future. The collaboration between the clubs will feature training and finding young players between 11 and 15 years of age. And Werder manager Klaus-Dieter Fischer said the work will be run at a high professional level.
"In the future we will have a contact person in both clubs who coordinates with us this collaboration," said Werder youth manager Uwe Harttgen. "We will discuss with him the development of the young footballers, who should remain with their clubs and not be ripped away from their environment too early. For the clubs, it means a chance to increase their acceptance as being a training club for the entire region."
"Young talents will occasionally come to a few training sessions with Werder or appear as guest players in Werder’s teams at some tournaments, slowly increasing their level of play," said Werder youth manager Björn Schierenbeck.
