Daniel Jensen's Achilles tendon problem was the only injury the Green-Whites had to deal with as all their other international players returned healthy Thursday from national team duty.
The international players were all due back to the team by latest Thursday afternoon. Players who played 90 minutes on Wednesday were the only ones not required to take part in training. That meant Per Mertesacker, Sebastian Prödl and Petri Pasanen were left to exercises in the weight room and a separate care program. Daniel Jensen also was allowed to recover from international duty.
Alexandros Tziolis returned to the training grounds but only completed an individual running program. Hugo Almeida meanwhile was back in team training on Wednesday and Tim Wiese returned to Green-White training on Thursday. "It is always special to be with the national team, even though I would have liked to have played. But now I can fully concentrate on the Bundesliga. We absolutely must gain three points against Hannover," said Wiese.
Claudio Pizarro completed individual training Wednesday morning before taking part in full training in the afternoon. And the Peruvian participated in all drills on Thursday.
