All media representatives who will accompany Werder Bremen to the UEFA Cup game at AS Saint-Etienne are asked to review all the relevant information about the road match supplied by Werder's media and public relations department.

 

On Tuesday, 17 March 2009 at 9 a.m., there will be a chance to do interviews with head coach Thomas Schaaf at Bremen airport shortly before the team departs. The interview event will take place in the VIP room on the first floor of the departure hall. All media representatives will then have the chance to interview players during check-in (at about 9:15 a.m.).

 

In Saint-Etienne, Werder Bremen will hold their official UEFA press conference at Stade Geoffroy Guichard, beginning at 6 p.m. Head coach Thomas Schaaf will answer questions from international journalists. Werder Bremen's final training will begin half an hour later - at 6:30 p.m. - also at Stade Geoffroy Guichard. The entire practice session is open for media members though interviews will not be granted after training.

 

AS Saint-Etienne's press conference will take place on Tuesday, 17 March 2009 at 4:30 p.m. at the club's training centre in L'Etrat, about 10 kilometres north of downtown Saint-Etienne (11 rue de Verdun, 42580 L'Etrat). The French team's final training session will also take place there starting at 5 p.m. Only the first 15 minutes are open to media representatives.

 

Werder Bremen's return trip is scheduled for Thursday, 19 March 2009 at 12:30 p.m. The airplane is expected to land at 2:15 p.m. in Bremen.
