Nearly every player was on hand for Werder Bremen's Tuesday afternoon practice. Even the recently banged up, sick and injured players were back - save for one exemption. German international Mesut Özil was still out with a knee capsule injury after missing Monday's training as well.

Clemens Fritz and Christian Vander returned as expected to full training Tuesday afternoon as well as Torsten Frings and Claudio Pizarro, the latter of whom missed Monday due to sickness. "I am a lot better today. Yesterday I felt really weak," said the Peruvian striker, who is expected to play in the UEFA Cup first leg on Thursday. "I can play," assured the 30-year-old.
