The hours before the opening whistle of the UEFA Cup Round of 16 are counting down, but before AS St.-Etienne could make their trip to Bremen, head coach Alain Perrin's team had to finish off the 27th game day of the French Ligue 1 on Sunday night. And his side grabbed a well-deserved 2-1 victory at home over FC Nantes with former Bremen striker Ivan Klasnic scoring the sole goal for Nantes. The victory got St.-Etienne finally out of the relegation zone. Les Verts had been waiting since 7 February for their last league win.
