The Bremen Fan Project has invited all Werder fans and all supporters of AC Milan to a German-Italian Fanfast before the UEFA Cup game on Wednesday 18 February 2009. The comfortable cultural exchange should start about three hours before the opening whistled at about 5:30 p.m. in the east curve hall of Weser Stadion. Some Italian flair will be brought to the evening through Italian snacks made by Luigi Vizza of Casa Italia as well as musical accompaniment. And to help fans better understand one another the Fan Project is supplying interpreters.

The Werder Fans' Anti-Discrimination group will also stage an anti-racism show in the entire east curve of Weser Stadion ahead of the game. "The preparations for the show took a couple of days. And the result will be in my opinion the biggest curve show we have ever had here," said Fan Project member Thomas Hafke, whetting the appetite for the choreography.
