Striker Boubacar Sanogo will play the second half of the current season for 1899 Hoffenheim. The Ivory Coast native has been loaned to the current Bundesliga leaders until 30 June 2009. Hoffenheim also have a buy-out option for the 26-year-old, who has a contract with Werder until 30 June 2011. No details of the transfer have been released.
Also leaving Werder will be offensive specialist Said Husejinovic, who will play only the second half pf 2009 on loan at second division club 1. FC Kaiserslautern. The 20-year-old Bosnian, who in summer 2008 struck a deal with Werder until 30 June 2012, signed the final paperwork on Tuesday afternoon in Kaiserslautern to complete the transfer.
And the transfer of Carlos Alberto to CR Vasco da Gama is also officially complete. Manager Klaus Allofs confirmed Tuesday morning that the final documents needed to seal the move had arrived. The six-time Brazilian international is being loaned to the Rio de Janeiro club until summer 2009. Alberto has a contract with Werder until 2011.
