It could not have been a positive sign seeing Martin Harnik prematurely leave Werder training Saturday morning with his head hanging down. "I have a problem in the groin," said the 21-year-old disappointedly, also grabbing his right hip. "It happened during shooting practice. All of a sudden, I felt something." The Austrian international had just returned to Werder team training on Monday after rehabbing from an ankle ligament injury and a bone oedema. And now this. "But it's just a precautionary measure for now," said Harnik, who fears another injury break.
The situation with Naldo, however, appears to be improving. The Brazilian has been unable to train recently because of an injury in the region between his calf and Achilles tendon. But his return appears to be coming soon. "I had some pain in the Achilles tendon but that's gone now. I will start again with running training. And if that works out okay, hopefully I can practice with the team again on Monday."
