Werder Bremen convincingly won their final friendly game 3-0 before the Bundesliga season gets underway this coming Saturday when they travel to Arminia Bielefeld. At the Blue Water Arena, the Green-Whites goals against Danish first division side Esbjerg fB were scored by Boubacar Sanogo (36’ / 54’) and Martin Harnik (58’).
In comparison to the eleven which started in Nordhorn last weekend, trainer Thomas Schaaf made a number of changes to his starting selection for the clash with the tenth placed side in Denmark’s SAS-Ligaen and saw his team improve distinctly as the match wore on. On the whole it was a good performance by the Green-Whites and a promising dress rehearsal ahead of their trip to the Schüco-Arena in Bielefeld on Saturday. Werder took control of the game after a relatively poor start and were never at any point really threatened by the Danes.
