Werder see injury worries wither away

There was good news for Werder Bremen as they headed into a weekend without Bundesliga action. Midfielder Daniel Jensen, who had been forced out due to a muscle sinew tear which he picked up soon after the clash with MSV Duisburg, was able to return to full team training again on Friday, as was German international Torsten Frings.

Midfielder Daniel Jensen, who had been forced out due to a muscle sinew tear which he picked up soon after the clash with MSV Duisburg, was able to return to full team training again on Friday, as was German international Torsten Frings. It was a further boost for the trainer who saw Hugo Almeida return to training on Thursday, having recovered from his hip problem. Club captain Frank Baumann, Sebastian Boenisch and Pierre Wome are all still being put through their paces in individual training programmes.
