Werder take top spot with T.V. viewers

Despite the Green-Whites failure to progress to the latter stages of the UEFA Cup against Glasgow Rangers on Thursday night, 13.03.2008, Werder did put on a fantastic display in a nail-biting European night of football right to the death. Across Germany, some 8,52 million football fans tuned in to see Werder’s ‘Never Say Die’ performance live on ZDF.

Across Germany, some 8,52 million football fans tuned in to see Werder’s ‘Never Say Die’ performance live on ZDF. 5,92 million viewers (19,4% of the total viewing public) watched the full 90 minutes, which means the Green-Whites topped the television viewing figures on Thursday night in Germany.
