Once again Werder Bremen have begun another enthralling set of trips with two games in three days, and both away from home. From Glasgow, the squad will fly directly to Stuttgart on Friday. What seemed like an exceptional adventure two weeks ago, when Werder had to travel from Braga straight to Frankfurt, is now taking on an element of routine for the Green-Whites.

All at the club have clearly set their sights on ending this trip with two wins under their belt and the Braga/Frankfurt experience should aid the process: "We did a lot of things correctly then. It was important to concentrate fully on the first game, so this time we will be focused on the clash with Rangers and not spare a thought for the Stuttgart match on Saturday. After the Rangers tie we can assess the situation and see what needs to be done. It was also very important a fortnight ago, after the Thursday evening game, that the team all ate at the stadium - it was an opportunity to immediately re-charge the batteries. We have re-organised our schedule again so that we will fly directly to our next location and take the chance to get some extra sleep after the Thursday match. Then we can do a light session on Friday morning and depart for Stuttgart in the afternoon", concluded trainer Thomas Schaaf.
