Wiese & Co. send viewing figures soaring

Almost six million German television viewers saw Tim Wiese’s heroics against Braga on Wednesday evening.

It was yet another spectacular European night at the Weser Stadium on Wednesday and it wasn’t just Werder Bremen that had a success to register, but also German television channel ZDF.

It was yet another spectacular European night at the Weser Stadium on Wednesday and it wasn’t just Werder Bremen that had a success to register, but also German television channel ZDF. The performances of ‘Penalty-Hero’ Tim Wiese and his team mates pulled a phenomenal 5,95 million viewers as they beat Braga – that is some 19% of the market share of viewers throughout the nation on the night.

 

The Green-Whites 3:0 win was watched by even more viewers than popular ‘German Idol’ casting show ‘Deutschland sucht den Superstar’ which was beaten back into second place.
