Werder Bremen club captain Frank Baumann has not yet given up hope of taking part against Karlsruhe SC in the Bundesliga on Saturday despite having had his nose broken in a clash with a Lazio player in the Champions League on Tuesday. On his return, the 32 year old headed directly for the 'Diako Bremen' to have a more detailed examination. Baumann commented: "My nose is broken but it's not causing me any problems. My nose is a little crooked but I am getting good air and there is no need for surgery."
Following the examination, the midfield man had a special face mask preparedwhich he intends to test in Werder's next game: "I won't take part in tomorrow's training session because the mask won't be ready until Friday. Then I will see how things go", concluded Baumann.
