Aleksandar Ignjovski suffered a small setback as Werder's young Serbian, who started last Friday's game at Freiburg in the defensive midfield, could not take part in training Monday afternoon 24 October 2011. "He is out due to muscle tightness. I expect that ‘Iggy' can be back on the pitch in two days," said head coach Thomas Schaaf.
While Ignjovski stayed away from the Weser Stadium training grounds, Christian Vander was in a good mood. The keeper was celebrating his 31st birthday on Monday, and the team would later in the evening be heading out to the Bremem Freimarkt festival. "It's a nice day. I will be able to spend even more time with the team and certainly pay for a round of drinks," said Vander, who was heading to the Bavarian tent with his Werder teammates.
