Aleksandar Ignjovski returned to SV Werder Bremen team training on Wednesday. "We are happy that Iggy was able to train again. We assume that he will be on hand on Saturday," said Werder head coach Thomas Schaaf, confident that the 22-year-old will be available against Eintracht Frankfurt.
"Iggy" had been out with Patella tendon irritation in his left knee. But he was able to complete a running session with athletics coach Reinhard Schnittker on Tuesday. "Everything is good. I trained like normal. Now I hope that it stays like that," said the Serbian international on Wednesday.
Despite the German public holiday, "Iggy" and his teammates will train again on Thursday with the session planned for 10 a.m. on the Weser Stadium training grounds.
