Not yet back but getting close to a return is Özkan Yildirim. The German U21 international has sat the last few days with irritation in a right knee tendon. ‘Ötz' worked out individually Tuesday in the weight room, hoping for a return soon. "I hardly have any more pain and am confident that I can return to team training tomorrow," said Yildirim.
Despite a few injury concerns, head coach Robin Dutt broke down the first half of training camp. "The guys have really gone along with things superbly. It's very good. As coach, it's difficult sometimes to judge if some things don't work because of tiredness or because the things are not yet in their heads. It's the same the opposite way. That's why as a coach I can only judge how the team comes along, how the players accept individual things and if they are prepared to implement new input. And every single player is doing that superbly," said Dutt.
