Both Aaron Hunt (flu) and Ludovic Obraniak (muscular problems) missed training at the beginning of the week but were back with the team on Thursday. There is still one more training session before the Bundesliga home match on Saturday. Should neither have problems during the training, then Hunt and Obraniak should be ready to play on Saturday. Captain Clemens Fritz also was able to make his comeback after a two-month injury break. "Clemens will give me the signal if he can play or not," said head coach Robin Dutt about the hopes of having Fritz in the squad.
Dutt talked about his offensive playmakers at the official press conference - and that before they had returned for their first session of the week. "It's the first training of the week for both of them. We assume that they will be at full strength," said the Werder coach.
Werder will train one more time this week at 2:30 p.m. on Friday before Borussia Mönchengladbach arrive Saturday at 3:30 p.m. for the next showdown in the Bundesliga. What about Fritz? "He is experienced enough to decide himself if he can play again. Clemens is an important factor for the team. I hope that he's ready for Saturday," said Dutt on Thursday.
