When the Werder team bus made their way towards Hamburg Friday afternoon, the places for Aaron Hunt and Marko Arnautovic were also taken as the both were nominated for the roster for the 98th Bundesliga North Derby against Hamburg. Head coach Thomas Schaaf would not say if either will be fit enough for the starting line-up. "Aaron and Marko were not at training for two days. We will see tomorrow morning how they handled training today and then make a decision," said Schaaf.
Hunt, who missed the last two days with the flu, was happy to be back. "I got through the session with no problems and feel really good. If my condition remains like this, I think I will be fit enough to play," said Hunt. Just like Hunt, Arnautovic also gave the green light after the Austrian had been in bed until Friday with the stomach flu. "I am doing a lot better. I felt good on the pitch. I will have to wait and see if I'm already ready for 90 minutes," said Arnautovic.
In addition to Hunt and Arnautovic, these players also took their places on the team bus to Hamburg: Mielitz, Strebinger - Pavlovic, Lukimya, De Bruyne, Arnautovic, Fritz, Ekici, Elia, Schmitz, Hunt, Prödl, Junuzovic, Ignjovski, Akpala, Sokratis, Gebre Selassie, Petersen.
