Werder Bremen continued their intensive preparations for the important match against Cologne on Friday 24 October 2014 with their training session Tuesday morning. Head coach Robin Dutt's players went through some heated challenges in typical Bremen weather. Also on hand was Santiago Garcia after overcoming his knee problems while two other injured players were working on their comebacks.
"Santi" was able to go through the full stress of the training after the Argentinean was fighting with knee problems after the Bayern match and only went through an individual session on Sunday on the bike. The issues are gone and the 26-year-old gave his all in the complete session. "The break on Sunday was only a precautionary measure. Today I was able to train without a problem and didn't have any pain. I hope that it stays like that," said Garcia from the training grounds.
Two other Werder players were working on their comebacks away from the team training. Midfielders Philipp Bargfrede and Julian von Haacke went through light ball drills with athletics coach Reinhard Schnittker and ran some laps.
