Ivan Klasnic was a guest at Bremen training Wednesday morning. The former Bremen striker watched the proceedings secretly and quietly from his car in the parking lot. What the Bolton Wanderers striker saw was a more active Tim Wiese. In the final training match, the German national team keeper left the keeping duties to Sebastian Mielitz and Felix Wiedwald while he played in the field up and down the right side.

Klasnic did not get to see another former teammate on this day as Torsten Frings was missing at the morning team session. "He received a slight knock to the calf," said assistant coach Wolfgang Rolff about Werder's missing captain. Frings worked out individually but he hopes to return to the training grounds this week.

Kevin Schindler has already made his return but the 22-year-old striker is not training with the team, instead completing coordination and fitness drills on a neighbouring pitch. He is step by step working on his comeback. "But it doesn't really matter if it lasts a week longer or not," said the patient Schindler.

In the afternoon, the offensive players returned to the pitch for another session. With Felix Wiedwald in goal, Claudio Pizarro, Marko Marin, Marko Arnautovic, Denni Avdic, Sandro Wagner , Onur Ayik and Said Husejinovic took turns taking shots on goal before calling it a day.
